Right ...  I'd rather save for a Tiny Terror & Night Train Cab

I agree saving for a small tube amp if you want to get involved with effects.  IMHO I don't think a Peavy Bandit is such a huge upgrade to what you have now. It will loose its value quickly being Solid State. You won't get a return $$ later.  So sort of waste of money unless you get it used which is fine.

but if you want to get pedals....   +1 on the Cry Baby   :)

I agree about the Orange rocker combo  8)   and also with the Peavey Classic 30/20 ..      Hell even a Fender tube amp of some sort..  Twin reverb... champ. Laney.  All these can play grunge fine.  I'd go for the Orange though !!   :-X as I never owned one.

who are you talking about?

που είναι αυτά που λες   :P ???

I was just saying I have an extra amp and explained why I won't use it. I'll probably list it at the classified section if I decide not to keep it.  I may want it to keep it though to play in series. (2 amps at same time)

I'm just here to make friends ....   I have 0 guitar friends in Greece. :p

yia sas   :)

I am reading on Google Translate.  I live in Athens and looking for a Greek forum with local musicians.  sorry if English is not allowed.  >:D ???

I have played many of the amps listed in this thread and thought I'd give an opinion.

For anything lower solid state from Peavey or Crate, I would stay away.  And would say go for the Valvetronix VOX AD30VT if you can't afford a valve amp.  I wouldn't spend too much money on a solid state amp as they don't hold their value (usually) and once you get better I'm sure you would want to get Valve/tube amp.

VOX AD30VT is decent for what it is and I feel is better than Peavey SS or Crate lower models.  Maybe you can save for a used Peavey Classic 30 or even 20. As you are still young..... you benefit more by listening from a tube amp more.   but if for bedroom practice etc...  VT30 is fine and not pricey.   I actually have one for sale if you want to offer something fair for it.  I'm in Neos Kosmos. ITs not the the reason I came to this thread though lol.   Anyway I don't need it as I have a Laney A1 coming from DV247 for the acoustic and I already have a Peavey 20 for my dirty playing.

Cheers Sean
