To the Visionary

He turned his back to cheap submission,
his eyes shining with delight
when for the first time
his vision was realized
he'd take his brush and paint
and fall into a trance
Figures leaped out of the tip of his brush
and danced on the canvas...

And in his ecstasy he painted on
he attacked the canvas
and mayhem sprang forth of his brush
destroying all in its wake
and recreating a new vision
the canvas sprang to life in a howling inferno
of paint, and fury and an energy
leaking out from the very depths of his soul...

His vision was ready.
The painting, that monstrosity
that mirrored his very essence
and destroyed oblivion and nihilism,
would annihilate the old ways
and bring forth new power
renewed work...

He died some years later in poverty
his epic work was subjected to laughter
his vision was forgotten, until this day...

Rediscovered and revived, he treads to the light
to create anew, to set forth that vision,
until the dawn of a new era...

Η δεύτερη στροφή
μου αρέσει ιδιαίτερα,
δίνει με πολύ ξεκάθαρο τρόπο μια
έκσταση, αυτή του δημιουργού
που τέχνη γεννά..
Πολύ όμορφο (και πάλι)
