Οι απαντήσεις κατευθείαν από τον κιθαρίστα των Offspring:
http://www.accessmylibrary.com/coms2/summary_0286-10999671_ITMDo you have a formula for that?
The classic Offspring guitar sound is putting my parts in the middle of the mix and panning Dexter's hard left and right. We mn all the heavy rhythm parts bone dry. We just plug straight into loud amps--there are no effects.
What gear did you use to record Conspiracy?
Dexter and I both played through
stereo rigs of Mesa/Boogie Mark IVs and VHT Pittbulls. Those two amps really plug each other's sonic holes, and they add up to this huge tone that is still well defined.
Is it ever a problem that you and Dexter use the same rigs?
Not really, because we set them differently. I use more gain than Dexter, and I can get away with that because I use lower output pickups--
DiMarzio Tone Zones. Dexter uses DiMarzio Super Distortions, and runs his amps a little cleaner. Our two sounds complement each other really well.
Εχουμε και λέμε εν ολίγοις: Mesa Boοgie ενισχυτές και VHT και στις κιθάρες Dimarzio μαγνήτες, Tone Zone ο ένας και Super Distortion ο άλλος.
