Q: I love that chorus/reverb/delay drenched guitar tone of the 80s. I know that the Gallien Krueger 250ml was used alot to get that tone but I was wondering if there was some gear that could emulate that old 80s sound without dishing out loads of cash on retro gear. I'm running through a Marshall JCM2000 at the moment with a hotrailed custom supter strat so I'm half way there.  Think Bon Jovi, late 80s Maiden, Strangeways, FM etc

A1: if you're thinking stompboxes look no further than the MI audio crunchbox or the menatone king of the britains. Marshall for days. An old Gov'nor would be great as well.
